This informative, two-hour class is open to anyone who wants to learn about the basic skills needed to control Type 2 diabetes. The class is taught by Certified Diabetes Educators who give an overview of Type 2 diabetes, the medications used to control diabetes, meal planning and healthy behaviors that can help patients avoid complications.
When: The last Thursday of every month, except December Where: Kachina Building, 2451 S. Avenue A, Suite 104. Time: 1 to 3 p.m. Fee: Donation of a non-perishable food item or a school supply
