Foundation of Yuma Regional Medical Center to Award More than $40,000 in Healthcare Scholarships
Foundation of YRMC now accepting applications to assist future community medical professionals
February 21, 2014– Yuma, AZ - The Foundation of Yuma Regional Medical Center will award more than $40,000 in scholarships to Yuma County residents pursuing healthcare-related studies. The Foundation has presented more than $250,000 dollars in healthcare scholarships to Yuma residents since the program's inception in 2004.
"By investing in the future of these students, we're investing in the future nurses and doctors of Yuma." said Brian Geren, Chair of the Foundation of Yuma Regional Medical Center Scholarship Committee. "Nearly all of the students that we award are committed to serving their community following graduation. It's a win not only for the students, but for the community of Yuma as well."
At least 20 grants of $2,000 each will be awarded. Applications are due online by Friday, March 21st at 5:00 pm and are available on our website at yumaregional.org/programs.
The mission of the Foundation of Yuma Regional Medical Center is to support a health community through philanthropy. Qualified as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Foundation relies on donations to support community programs such as the health care scholarships and the Y.O.U.T.H. Obesity Initiative.
