Yuma Regional Medical Center is committed to providing our patients with the highest quality medical care. We do this by working continuously to improve our patient safety processes to help ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
How Quality is Measured at YRMC
YRMC uses standards called core measures to track how consistently we apply recommended standards or therapies, called best practices, that have been shown to improve patient outcomes, reduce the risk of complications, prevent recurrences and provide optimal quality care for patients. YRMC voluntarily provides this information to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Information is then posted to the Hospital Compare website www.hospitalcompare.hhs.gov to help consumers see how their hospital’s core measures performance compare to those of other participating hospitals nationwide.
