Balloons Lift Spirits: Say it with a Mylar!
Whether it is a get well wish, a celebration of a new baby boy or a girl or a moment of congratulations, a balloon can make a patient feel better. Yuma Regional Medical Center welcomes these expressions of love and support of our patients and we ask that you make sure your balloon bouquet is made of Mylar only.

Why Mylar?
Mylar balloons, which are reflective and filled with helium, are a good alternative to latex balloons. For the safety of our patients, visitors and staff at our hospital and clinics, we provide a latex-safe environment. Latex balloons can be a choking hazard for children and they contain a powder that carries latex proteins, which can also cause some people to have a severe allergic reaction.

Latex balloons have an extremely high level of latex proteins, especially when compared to other products made with latex rubber.

Give the gift of lifted spirits with a Mylar balloon. We thank you for your support of our patients and our commitment to putting them and their safety first.
