Questions to Ask

Before deciding to participate in a clinical trial, you should know as much as possible about the study. It is important for you to feel comfortable asking questions, and the research staff should answer them in a way that you can easily understand. All patients participating in a clinical trial will go through the process called informed consent to learn about the study. During this process, you will have many opportunities to ask questions and learn about the clinical trial. Ask for an explanation if you hear something you don't understand.

Think of your questions before the appointment, and bring along a way to keep track of the answers you receive. For example, you may want to write down or print out your list of questions or bring a friend or family member to help you record and remember the answers.

You are welcome to call the YRMC Clinical Research Team at 928-336-3366 for further assistance.
