March 16, Tuesday, 4 pm YRMC Bariatric Support Group:
Studies have shown that bariatric patients who regularly attend support group meetings and follow-up with their surgeon have the greatest long-term success. Led by a member of the weight management team, meetings offer both pre- and post-surgical patients information, advice and support for dealing with the changes that come with this weight loss alternative. Our monthly support groups provide a secure and friendly environment for those that have had weight loss surgery or are interested in learning more about the surgery. Candice Jensen, M.D., will present a free educational seminar on the LAP-BAND System for long-term weight loss. Dr. Jensen is a Board-certified general surgeon who specializes in laparoscopic and bariatric surgery and is founder of the Bariatric Surgery Program at YRMC.
