Underprivileged students in Yuma County need school supplies! You can help by donating backpacks for all ages, crayons, pencils, rulers, glue, folders, safety scissors, markers, pencil sharpeners, dictionaries, and paper. Donations will be accepted at the YRMC Main Lobby and Yuma Regional Corporate Center, 399 W. 32nd St. Your donation is tax deductible. Studies have shown that bariatric patients who regularly attend support group meetings and follow-up with their surgeon have the greatest long-term success. Led by a member of the weight management team, meetings offer both pre- and post-surgical patients information, advice and support for dealing with the changes that come with this weight loss alternative. Our monthly support groups provide a secure and friendly environment for those that have had weight loss surgery or are interested in learning more about the surgery. FREE EDUCATIONAL SEMINAR! July 20, Tuesday, 5 pm Weight Loss Surgery:
Candice Jensen, M.D., will present a free educational seminar on the LAP-BAND System for long-term weight loss. Dr. Jensen is a Board-certified general surgeon who specializes in laparoscopic and bariatric surgery and is founder of the Bariatric Surgery Program at YRMC.
