Clinical Pastoral Education Opportunities

Our Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program is accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, Incorporated, with headquarters in Decatur, Georgia.  The Association for Clinic Pastoral Education, Inc., is located at:

YRMC is accredited to offer Level I, Level II and Supervisory Clinical Pastoral Education.

We offer a unique learning experience in an environment that is empowering for both personal and professional growth. Students learn Healing Touch, Guided Imagery and receive training in Crucial Conversation, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, and Crucial Confrontations.

The CPE Residency Program

This year-long residency in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program includes opportunities to practice ministry within a clinical team environment. These opportunities include trauma on-call, end of life issues and crisis intervention. The CPE Residency Program is enthusiastically supported by YRMC, shown through its generous financial package of $36,000.

The Extended Program

This one day a week program from November through April is designed for spiritual leaders and lay persons who wish to undertake the CPE experience while maintaining other employment. It includes educational seminars, ministry events, theological seminars and group process.
