(July 13, 2011 Yuma, AZ)Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) leaders gathered today to celebrate the Robert A Warriner III, M.D. and Center of Distinction awards. Both awards were presented to YRMC Wound Care Center by Diversified Clinical Services, Inc., the world’s leading wound care management company. The Wound Care Center has achieved outstanding patient outcomes for 24 consecutive months, including 89 percent wound healing rate and patient satisfaction over 90 percent within 30 median days to heal, among other quality outcomes.

Pat Walz, CEO of YRMC, commented on the award, “Our Wound Care Center heals chronic wounds of patients who might otherwise experience an amputation or other life-threatening conditions. We are extremely proud to be able to provide this specialized service to our community.”

YRMC’s Wound Care Center opened in 2007 and has treated over 16,000 patients. The Wound Care Center is a member of Diversified Clinical Services Network of over 325 centers. “We’re honored,” said Ian Hodge, program director. “It is a privilege to be a part of a great collaborative effort between YRMC, physicians and Diversified Clinical Services. Together, we are able to provide the best quality of care for patients in our community, getting them back to living happy, healthy lives.”
