Foundation of YRMC 15th Annual Golf Tournament Raises Over $46,000 for Community Programs

(July 23, 2012 – Yuma, AZ)– The Foundation of Yuma Regional Medical Center commenced its 15th Annual Golf Tournament, an event paralleling with the Foundation’s dedication to a healthy community by raising over $46,000.

“The Foundation engaged community businesses and leaders to support this event,” said tournament event chair, Eve Scarff. “The Foothills Bank took the lead as the Title Sponsor this year. It is through their generosity, and that of the Ace, Eagle and Team Sponsors, that we had an exciting day of golf while working together to provide support for Foundation programs.”

The 15th Annual Golf Tournament, organized by community volunteers and the Foundation, was held at Desert Hills Golf Course on April 20, 2012. Thirty-eight foursomes from all over Arizona registered as golfers for the shotgun start tournament, exceeding typical capacity of a thirty-six foursome shotgun start.

Wayne Steffey, Foundation Executive Director added, “The Foundation is thrilled at the tremendous response to this year’s tournament. We are grateful for the support of our sponsors, volunteers, golfers and partners in helping to make this year’s tournament so successful.”
