(April 30, 2013 – Yuma, Arizona) – Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) is looking for community cancer survivors to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony of the new Yuma Regional Cancer Center on Friday, May 17. This day will celebrate a multi-year dream to make world-class cancer care and treatments available in our community.

Selected survivors will each carry a flag of honor during the ceremony. YRMC is looking for 75 survivors who are able to walk approximately 50 yards to participate. (Assistance is available.) Following the event, flags will be displayed on the site for several weeks as a visual reminder of the hope and promise they bring to our community.

If you are a cancer survivor, or know a survivor who is willing and able to participate in our event, please call the YRMC Community Relations Department at 928-336-7005 by Friday, May 10 for more information.
