Candice M. Jensen, M.D.
Candice M. Jensen, M.D., is a Fellowship trained General Surgeon specializing in Bariatric and Advanced Laparoscopic surgery. Board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Medical Examiners, Dr. Jensen is the founder of the Bariatric Surgery Program at Yuma Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Jensen served as clinical instructor in Minimally Invasive Surgery at UCLA Medical Center, and has published articles in journals such as Surgery of Obesity and Related Diseases, The American Surgeon, Journal of Diabetes Technology, and Bariatric Times. Her research has been presented at UCLA Medical Center, Kern Medical Center, Southern California American College of Surgeons, and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Dr. Jensen completed residency at Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester, a community hospital affiliate of New York Medical College, and the University of Arizona Medical School. Dr. Jensen received Fellowship training from the University of California Medical School in Los Angeles, California (UCLA).
Rebecca Adame, R.N., C.C.M
Rebecca Adame is a Certified Case Manager and Program Coordinator who oversees the Bariatric Surgery, Medical Weight Loss and Outpatient Nutrition Services at Yuma Regional Medical Center.
She started in the Case Management Department of Yuma Regional Medical Center in 2001 and opened the Yuma Regional Medical Center Bariatric Surgery Clinic with Dr. Candice Jensen in May 2009. She also serves as a Wellness Ambassador and committee member of the Healthy Kids Program at the hospital.
Carmen Pulido is the "Smile" of the program who serves as the Bariatric Surgery Program Liaison. She began her work at Yuma Regional Medical Center as a volunteer in 1998 and has worked in medical records, preadmission testing and outpatient surgery prior to joining the Bariatric team in 2010. She is also a certified interpreter and a licensed massage therapist
Jacinta Santori, MS, RD
Jacinta Santori came to Yuma Regional Medical Center from Minnesota in 2013. She is a Registered Dietitian and the leader of the monthly bariatric patient support group. Jacinta holds a certificate of completion in Adult Weight Management and performs nutritional assessments, dietary consultations and both pre- and post-operative education.
She received her Bachelor of Science from University of Minnesota in 2008 and her Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Central Michigan University in 2012.
