The pediatric diabetes education program includes a comprehensive education program for children, teens and their parents delivered by certified diabetes educators. This is accomplished through individual appointments for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
The diabetes self management training is age-appropriate and covers vital knowledge and skills required for children to manage their disease and for parents to assist in their care. The certified diabetes educator works closely with the child's physician and tracks status and progress in attaining the skills required to manage diabetes.
