Yuma Regional Medical Center pharmacy helps fulfill the medication needs of its patients. YRMC's inpatient pharmacy is a 24-hour, fully computerized department providing pharmacy services for hospital patients. Our emphasis is ensuring patients receive optimal, safe and cost-effective medication therapy by applying an evidence-based approach to improve overall patient care. The pharmacy department ranks in the top 1% in automation in the country. Intravenous and other sterile medications are prepared in a state-of-the-art USP <797> compliant clean room. All of the automation and other technology allows our experienced pharmacy staff to provide clinical pharmacy services around the clock, seven day per week. The pharmacy provides medication through a closed network outpatient pharmacy for employees and their dependents. The anti-coagulation clinic is completely pharmacist driven under an approved protocol. In addition, pharmacists provide education through an ASHP accredited PGY1 residency program, precepting students from six different colleges of pharmacy as well as routine educational in-services to nursing, medical staff and patients.
