When you and/or your family members seek medical care here in our community, you deserve to receive quality care that meets or exceeds national standards. Providing you with this high level of care is a responsibility that the staff of Yuma Regional Medical Center takes very seriously. That is why we continually measure and evaluate the quality of the patient care we provide in terms of safety, timeliness and effectiveness and compare our performance to the most current professional standards available in these areas.
To help accurately evaluate the quality performance of our organization, we follow guidelines set by many national organizations and federal governing bodies that specialize in measuring health care quality data, setting national benchmarks and helping to define quality health care in the United States. We then openly share this quality data to ensure that you have access to all of the information you need to make informed health care decisions and take an active role in your health and wellbeing. You can find this information on Hospital Compare. Operated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Hospital Compare is a consumer-oriented website that publishes information on how well hospitals provide recommended care to their patients. The site includes general information about each hospital and a survey of its patients’ experiences, as well as information on the timely and effective care the hospital offers, complications, readmissions and deaths, use of medical imaging and payment and value of care. We are proud to say that our commitment to quality and patient safety has helped us earn many awards, certifications and accreditations in recognition of the high standard of care we provide, both in our hospital as a whole and in many of the areas of specialty we offer.
