Seasonal Employment

Medical professionals who join us on a seasonal basis are highly valued members of our team! Thanks to all of the sun-seekers who travel to Yuma each winter to enjoy our great weather, our population nearly doubles during this time of the year. That’s why we’re always looking for nurses, respiratory therapists, laboratory technicians, surgical technicians, radiology technicians, radiation therapists and exercise physiologists who are searching for a great seasonal opportunity.

Our seasonal employment shines with benefits that include:

  • Assignments lasting from 12 to 39 weeks
  • Round-trip travel reimbursement at $.54 per mile up to $800 each way, paid at the beginning and end of your assignment
  • Housing – at no cost for a shared apartment or at a low rent for a one- or two-bedroom apartment
  • Health insurance allowance of $300 per month ($2.08/hr.)
  • Premium and differential pay, including $2.00/hr. on weekends, 10% for shifts from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and 15% for shifts from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. We also offer differentials for 12-hour shifts: averaged at 3.5% for day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at 13.5% for night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  • Peak pay of $12.00/hr. for eligible employees who work a minimum of four consecutive hours above their defined full-time employment on non-scheduled shifts in direct patient care.
