Once a second-grade teacher, Mika Naranjo, DNP, loves to educate her patients. And, she gained extensive experience doing so when taking care of cancer, kidney, cardiac, surgical and medical patients as a registered nurse at Yuma Regional Medical Center. She also served as the hospital's manager of infection prevention and control before becoming a full-time primary care provider. Mika earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University before furthering her education with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Arizona.
When she is not taking care of patients, Mika enjoys reading cheesy fiction, going to the sand dunes, spending time on the river and boating.
