An experienced medical provider on both sides of the border, Monica Lopez is a dedicated nurse practitioner with ample experience serving the vulnerable population in Southwest Arizona. As an attentive listener, she helps her patients continue to recover after they leave the hospital. She understands cultural effects when managing chronic disease and promoting health prevention.
Her medical career flourished after earning her degree as a registered nurse at the University of Baja California in Mexicali, Mexico. She later pursued her BSN degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing. Spending more than a decade in nursing roles working in hospital, psychiatric and post-acute care facilities prepared Monica for her nurse practitioner training. She earned two Master’s degrees in nursing while certifying as a nurse practitioner.
When she is not taking care of patients, Monica likes to garden, go for walks by the river, and listen to piano music.
