Care Philosophy

As a primary care doctor, it is my role to be knowledgeable, not only in preventive medicine but also in diagnosing and treating disease. I like to treat patients as a whole. I also believe that a good patient-physician relationship is key to obtaining good outcomes.

Education & Professional Highlights

Internal medicine specialist Henry Florez, MD, arrived in Yuma shortly after graduating from medical school in New York and completing a world-class residency at Montefiore Medical Center. He has been treating adult primary care patients in Yuma since 1993. Always an advocate for preventing disease, Dr. Florez couples his caring attitude and excellent communication to help people. Under his care, his patients live healthier lives, and they also have a healer and advocate to help them through life’s health challenges.

In his free time, Dr. Florez loves to spend time with his wife in the outdoors, often hiking Telegraph Pass on the weekends. He also enjoys collecting and riding bicycles.
