Construction impacts patient drop-off, parking for Women and Children’s at YRMC

The evolving construction site for the new Emergency Department recently required Yuma Regional Medical Center to make several changes involving patient drop-off and parking at Women and Children's Services.

The evolving construction site for the new Emergency Department recently required Yuma Regional Medical Center to make several changes involving patient drop-off and parking at Women and Children's Services.

That area of the hospital includes Labor and Delivery, Pediatrics, and Women's Surgical Services.

Women and Children's Services is located right alongside the Emergency Department construction, causing a degree of confusion for some patients and their families as the landscape continues to change in appearance.

That area's main entrance, located along Avenue A, remains open.

A new driveway leading to Women and Children's Services just recently opened off Avenue A. (See step-by-step directions below)

To help visitors locate the entrance, YRMC is installing a series of helpful signs.

The original parking lot in that area has also been reduced to several handicapped parking spots. General visitor parking for Women and Children's Services has been moved to a nearby Visitor Parking Lot, located just outside the Administration Building.

To help patients and families easily locate Women and Children's Services, plus find convenient parking, YRMC has provided the following helpful directions:

PATIENT DROP-OFF: (From 24th Street and Avenue A)

  1. Drive south on Avenue A
  2. Look for signs on the right saying "Women and Children's Drop Off"
  3. Take the first right-hand turn
  4. The entrance to Women and Children's is on the immediate south side of construction for the new Emergency Department
  5. Follow signs to the main door

VISITOR PARKING:
  1. Return to Avenue A, driving south only a few yards
  2. Take the next right-hand turn
  3. Visitor parking is available between the Administration Building and the Employee Parking Garage (Note: Handicapped parking is available just outside the Women and Children’s entrance)
