Social Worker

At Yuma Regional Medical Center Cancer Center, we understand that being diagnosed with cancer can be a frightening experience, which is why we offer a variety of support services to ensure that our patients never have to travel this journey alone. One way we do this is by having a Master’s degree-level social worker on staff who can draw upon her counseling skills and knowledge of community resources to help patients adjust to living with cancer and provide them with the support they need for their physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing. Our social worker can also arrange for patients to receive therapeutic services at the Cancer Center to help lessen the stress they experience as a result of receiving a cancer diagnosis and undergoing treatment. She can also help patients and their family members enhance their coping skills to prepare them to navigate each phase of the cancer treatment process.

If you feel that you or a member of your family would benefit from the counseling and other services provided by our social worker, please talk to a member of our healthcare team.
