The Benesch Collection – When you visit the Yuma Regional Medical Center Cancer Center, you will see the work of an extraordinary artist, the late Louis J. Benesch. His works have been donated to the Cancer Center to help foster the healing power of art. Some of these pieces are available for purchase, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Foundation of Yuma Regional Medical Center to benefit cancer care in our community. You can see more of Louis Benesch’s work in our gallery. To learn more about purchasing his artwork, please call the Foundation at 928-336-7045.
Art Heals - Artists from the Yuma area who work in all media types were invited to submit artwork that reflects the themes of serenity, hope, healing and joy for our Art Heals program. A committee of cancer patients and cancer survivors then selected pieces of art which now hang throughout the Yuma Regional Medical Center Cancer Center to create a restorative, calming environment. Artwork from this collection can be purchased to benefit the mission of our cancer center. For more information about the Art Heals program, please call the Yuma Regional Medical Center Community Relations department at 928-336-7005.
Donate to Bridget's Gift
Bridget's Gift is a special fund honoring Yuma native and inspiration Bridget Martinez who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in 2008. She faced breast cancer the same way she faced any obstacle — with determination, a positive attitude and laughter. Throughout her journey, she touched countless lives and was a friend to everyone she met.
Bridget's wish was to give the gift of breast cancer education and resource awareness to her community. She wanted to develop funds for breast exams, resource programs and to lend financial support to patients and families affected by breast cancer. Bridget's fight will continue through Bridget's Gift and will help members of the community affected by this horrific disease. Her incredible spirit will live on through Bridget's Gift and through friends and family that carry out her dream. The Bridget’s Gift fund is managed by the Foundation of Yuma Regional Medical Center.
