Meet Your Palliative Care Team

As part of our commitment to providing compassionate care, Yuma Regional Medical Center has a team of specialists to provide palliative and supportive care for inpatients and on an outpatient basis in the patient’s home or care facility. Our palliative care team includes the following specialists who are dedicated to providing this specialized level of care.
 

Jeanne Elnadry, M.D.

After completing her internal medicine residency in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Jeanne Elnadry came to Yuma in 1990 to work with the Indian Health Service. This was followed by 10 years in private practice. From 2004-2014, she served as the Medical Director for Hospice of Yuma. In 2001, Dr. Elnadry, along with a team from the Yuma Regional Medical Center Bioethics Committee, established the hospital’s Palliative Care Consultation Service.

Dr. Elnadry currently serves as Director of Supportive Care at Yuma Regional Medical Center. She enjoys gardening and has a small urban farm at home.
   

 


Shirley “Shan” Waterhouse, N.P.

Shirley Waterhouse received her Master of Science in Nursing, Adult-Gero Nurse Practitioner degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. She also received a Master of Mental Health Counseling degree from Nova Southeastern University in Orlando, FL. She is currently completing her Doctor of Nursing degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH.

Shirley recently moved to Yuma, AZ from Cleveland, OH to bring her knowledge and experience of Hospice and Palliative Medicine to the Yuma community. She is married and with four children. She enjoys traveling and experiencing different cultures.

Shirley is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association, and American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She has received her Adult/Gero Nurse Practitioner, ANP-C, certification and a certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, ACHPN.
