Wound Care Center

If you have a wound that isn’t healing properly, you certainly aren’t alone. Many people have cuts and lesions that are hard to heal due to a variety of medical conditions such as diabetes or poor circulation. These types of wounds do not respond to standard medical treatments and require specialized care. Yuma Regional Medical Center’s award-winning Wound Care Center is staffed by doctors who are specialists in treating hard-to-heal wounds.

Our Wound Care Center offers the most advanced wound care available. We will take a comprehensive approach to diagnosing and treating your wound that may involve:

  • Hyperbaric oxygen therapy
  • Specialized topical wound care
  • Negative pressure wound therapy
  • Tissue grafts
  • Infection control
  • Lab studies
  • Diabetic education
  • Evaluation of vascular (circulatory) system
  • Removal of dead tissue

The Wound Care Center is equipped with six treatment rooms and four hyperbaric oxygen chambers. As part of your treatment plan, you and your caregivers will be given detailed instructions on how to care for the wound at home, including information on proper diet, dressing or bandage changes, and how to protect your wound from further injury.
