Achievement Award (Level 3)
Yuma Regional Medical Center was awarded the Level 3 Achievement Award by the Southwest Alliance for Excellence. YRMC is one of only three recipients through the Southwest recognized through the 2017 Performance Excellence Program. The Achievement Award recognizes organizations where key processes are beginning to be systematically evaluated and improved.
Yuma Regional Medical Center also received the Level 2 Commitment Award from the Southwest Alliance for Excellence (SWAE) in 2016. The SWAE Performance Excellence Program applies the same criteria used in the Baldrige National Quality Program to recognize organizations that excel in continuous improvement, quality and performance excellence.
Showcase in Excellence Award
The Southwest Alliance for Excellence (SWAE) has recognized Yuma Regional Medical Center for our process to prevent hospital-acquired pressure ulcers, an important hospital-wide initiative led by our nursing staff and Quality Department. In 2014, we were one of only four organizations in Arizona, Nevada and Utah to receive the Showcase in Excellence Award from SWAE. This award recognizes processes performed in an extraordinary manner as well as those that result in exceptional performance.
In addition, Yuma Regional Medical Center was recognized, in 2015, for our efforts to reduce early elective deliveries for expectant mothers.
