Visitor Hours and Policy
Please note: Visitors are now required to be 16 years old (previously 13 years old), unless they are the parent of a patient, in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and influenza. We thank you for your cooperation during this trying time.
Visitation is limited, so we can continue fostering a safe and secure environment for our patients and healthcare workers. Visitors can be family, friends, or anyone of the patient’s choice regardless of their relationship. In most areas of the hospital, patients may have two visitors at a time between 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Additional visitation details include:
- COVID-positive patients: One visitor per day
- Cath lab and surgical procedure patients: One companion for the duration of the visit
- Labor & Delivery, NICU and Pediatrics: Two companions at a time
- Emergency Department patients: Two companions at a time
In ambulatory and outpatient care settings, patients may have one companion per visit. Visitors must be 16 years or old unless they are the parent of a patient. Of course, we want to accommodate patients with special circumstances, so we consider exceptions.
Visitors to the hospital are no longer be required to wear a mask, unless they are visiting a patient with a respiratory or other communicable illness. With this change, we are also asking individuals to refrain from visiting the hospital if they are experiencing fever, cough, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, chills, runny or stuffy nose or flu-like symptoms, as well as a recent positive COVID-19 test or known exposure. We encourage individuals to continue masking based on their personal preference and knowledge of their own health conditions.
Our website also makes it easy to send Cheer Cards to patients to brighten their day. You can send a Cheer Card to a specific patient or an anonymous patient in need. To send a card to the latter, simply fill out “Any Patient” in the name field.
