Preceptor and Resident Profiles

We invite you to meet our preceptors and current pharmacy residents who are continuing their education by completing their PGY1 program at Yuma Regional Medical Center.

Tara Bunni, Pharm.D.

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Tara was born in Baghdad, Iraq. Due to the war in Iraq, she relocated to Amman, Jordan where she earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Jordan. Tara relocated to Michigan and obtained her pharmacy licensure in 2019 and went on to work at CVS Pharmacy and Ascension Providence Hospital. Working as a practicing pharmacist strongly inspired Tara to pursue residency to improve her clinical, mentorship, and research skills to better serve her community. She is interested in Internal Medicine and has always enjoyed administering vaccines to patients. In her free time, she enjoys swimming and spending time with family, especially with her seven nephews and nieces.

Angela Nakhla, Pharm.D.

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Angela was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. She earned her Bachelor of Science from University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Roseman University of Health Sciences. Her professional interests include internal medicine, ambulatory care, and teaching. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Preceptor Profiles

Our preceptors bring a broad range of skills and experience to the Yuma Regional Medical Center Pharmacy Residency Program. They share their knowledge and expertise to help our residents build their knowledge, skills and abilities in delivering patient-centered care as clinical pharmacists in an acute care setting.

Mark Jordan, Pharm.D.

Administrative Director of Pharmacy

Mark Jordan is a proud graduate of the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ, having earned both Doctor of Pharmacy and Bachelor of Arts in Education degrees. He joined the Yuma Regional Medical Center staff in 2001 as a clinical pharmacist after previous work as an educator in the Yuma public schools. At Yuma Regional Medical Center, Mark has provided service across all levels of patient care, from critical to transitional care units. He has been involved in the palliative care team and the development of the ICU specialist position. As a NICU liaison, he accomplished the standardization of orders and preparation procedures for medications used in the NICU. His experiences at Yuma Regional Medical Center, as a pharmacy director for an inpatient rehabilitation hospital, a consultant pharmacist for local skilled nursing facilities as well as a free-standing endoscopy center provide a rich background for student and resident learning. Mark has called Yuma home since 1975 and enjoys our desert community with his wife and young children.

Stephanie Kehle, Pharm.D.

Pharmacy Residency Program Director

Stephanie, raised in Yuma, began her career as a pharmacy technician while she pursued her college education. In 2005, she received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Midwestern University College of Pharmacy Glendale. Following her education, she dedicated 11 years to working in a community pharmacy before returning home to YRMC. Since 2016, Stephanie has been an integral part of our team as the Anticoagulation Clinic Pharmacist. Outside of work, she enjoys activities such as CrossFit, gardening, grooming her dogs and spending time with her loved ones.

Jean-Paul “JP” Q. Lee, Pharm.D., MBA, BCPS, BCSCP

JP graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. He previously worked as a research associate at a large public teaching university conducting a cystic fibrosis study before joining a global biotech company as a biochemist. While at the biotech company, he took advantage of their education reimbursement program and earned a Certification in Planning and Inventory Management from the American Production and Inventory Control Society and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix. He then combined his science background and business knowledge to help implement their new enterprise business system as a business analyst. After several years in the biotech industry, he went back to school and earned a Doctor of Pharmacy from Creighton University prior to joining the YRMC pharmacy team. His diverse professional background in business process analysis, continuous improvement, research and inventory and production management provides a unique perspective for pharmacy students and residents on their rotations. Outside of work, JP enjoys cooking, reading, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.

Ania Mathews, Pharm.D.

Ania graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s in Anthropology and followed it with a Master’s in Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She was a public school teacher in Yuma prior to receiving her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of New Mexico in 2014. After working as a clinical staff pharmacist in rural Wyoming, she returned to Yuma to join the Pharmacy team in 2020. Her professional interests include anticoagulation, cardiology and nephrology. When she’s not at work, she enjoys indoor and outdoor physical activity and spending time with her family.

Melody Padilla, Pharm.D.

Melody, a native of El Paso, TX, received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from from the University of California, San Diego in 2019. She then completed a PGY1 general residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, CA. Melody provides patient care across a range of clinical settings, including patient floors, intensive care units (ICUs), the Anticoagulation Clinic and the Cancer Center. When she’s not working, she enjoys traveling, building Legos and playing with her cats.

Quan Pham, Pharm.D., BCPS

Quan graduated from the University of California San Diego with his Bachelor of Science in pharmacological chemistry in 2009. He worked in a contract manufacturing company for three years before completing his Pharm.D. from Midwestern University – Glendale, AZ campus in 2015. He completed his PGY1 community residency in Flagstaff, AZ at North Country Health Care, where he also earned a teaching certificate from Midwestern University – Glendale AZ campus. Quan joined Yuma Regional Medical Center in August 2015 and has been providing patient care in various settings, including the anticoagulation clinic, the cancer center and inpatient as a clinical pharmacist. Quan’s interests include playing guitar, photography, and exploring the great outdoors.

John Zackary Riddle, Pharm.D.

Supervisor of Oncology Pharmacy Operations

Zack Riddle is originally from Thatcher, Arizona. He received his Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy in Tucson, AZ in May of 2016. His professional interests include infectious diseases, ambulatory care, internal medicine and critical care. Upon completing his PGY1 residency, Zack hopes to work in a rural community hospital and help precept students and future residents. Outside of pharmacy, Zack enjoys playing tennis, playing board games with his friends and family and visiting the beach.

Mikali Shedd, Pharm.D.

Mikali received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of the Incarnate Word – Feik School of Pharmacy in San Antonio, TX in 2020. She then completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Practice and Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency at Orlando Health – Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, FL. Mikali joined YRMC in August 2022 as YRMC’s first Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Specialist. Her professional areas of expertise include emergency medicine, trauma and toxicology. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, swimming and spending time with her husband and dogs.

Hailey Wang, Pharm.D., BCPS

Hailey received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Southern Nevada in Henderson, NV in 2010. Hailey worked as a clinical staff pharmacist for six years in Chadron, NE and joined the Yuma Regional Medical Center pharmacy team in 2016. Her professional interests include infectious disease, critical care, internal medicine and palliative care/hospice. In her spare time, Hailey enjoys yoga, travel, watching movies and spending time with friends and family.

Rachel M. Belcher, Pharm.D., BCCP

Rachel received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Roseman University of Health Sciences in South Jordan, UT in 2020. Thereafter she completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice and PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT, followed by a Critical Care and Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy Research Fellowship at the University of Illinois Chicago. Rachel is board certified in critical care. In July 2023, Rachel joined YRMC as a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist. Her clinical and research interests include optimization of medication therapy in critically ill patients, antimicrobial resistance and stewardship, liver failure, toxicology, and trauma. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.

Banin Alqadheeb, Pharm.D., BCPS

Banin received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from King Faisal University in Saudi Arabia in 2015. Then, she completed the Advanced Clinical Pharmacy Practice Graduate Certificate Program at the University of Arizona in 2019. Thereafter she completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice at MelroseWakefield Healthcare in Melrose, MA, followed by a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson, MA. Banin is board certified in pharmacotherapy. In September 2023, Banin joined YRMC as a Clinical Pharmacist. Her clinical and research interests include diabetes management, diabetes technologies, and social determinants of health. In addition to her interest in psychiatry and management of chronic disease with mental health. Outside of work, Banin enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family.
