Dr. Jensen is a fellowship-trained general surgeon who specializes in bariatric and advanced laparoscopic surgery. She is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Medical Examiners and is the founder of the Bariatric Surgery Program at Yuma Regional Medical Center. She has a proven record for achieving exceptional outcomes.
Dr. Jensen has also served as clinical instructor in minimally invasive surgery at UCLA Medical Center, and has published articles in journals such as Surgery of Obesity and Related Diseases, The American Surgeon, Journal of Diabetes Technology and Bariatric Times. Her research has been presented at UCLA Medical Center, Kern Medical Center, Southern California American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Dr. Jensen completed her residency at Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester, a community hospital affiliate of New York Medical College, and at the University of Arizona Medical School. Dr. Jensen received her fellowship training from the University of California Medical School in Los Angeles, California (UCLA).
