Biography

A fellowship-trained joint replacement surgeon, Dr. Samer Tawakkol offers Yuma-area patients a wealth of orthopedic and arthritis care expertise.

After attending medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, Dr Tawakkol completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago, IL. He then trained for an additional year in joint replacement at the University of Southern California Arthritis and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship.

When he’s not practicing medicine, Dr. Tawakkol enjoys spending time with his family, practicing marksmanship, watching sports and attending live classic rock concerts.
