Hearing Aids

Hearing is an essential component of one’s ability to understand and appreciate the world around us. Our goal is to protect your hearing and help you hear as clearly as possible. Clinical audiologists provide hearing assessments, hearing aid sales and services, custom-fit earpieces, special assistive listening devices and management of tinnitus (ringing in the ears).

We offer several types of hearing aids, based on your lifestyle and personal goals.

  • Behind-the-ear (BTE) aids
  • Receiver in-canal aids
  • In-the-ear (ITE) aids
  • Invisible-in-canal (ILC), In-the-canal (ITC) and Completely-in-the-canal (CIC) aids

Hearing Aid FAQs

There are options to help you with the purchase of hearing aids. Please let us know your budget and concerns at your initial consultation.

Most insurance plans cover the cost of diagnostic hearing evaluations, minus your deductible or co-pays. Some provide coverage for all or part of the cost of hearing aids. Because individual plan coverage varies, please consult your plan for specifics. We verify all hearing aid benefits and routinely provide estimates.

Your hearing aids should provide good service for four to six years, in most cases. With technology advances and possible continued hearing loss, you may benefit from replacing them with newer technology beyond that timeframe. In addition, because hearing aids are exposed to the heat and humidity of the human body, they require regular service and repairs. The manufacturer normally provides at least one year of comprehensive loss, damage and repair coverage. For hearing aids with more complex technology, the warranty can be longer, often up to three years. Extended warranties are available to purchase beyond the standard warranties.
