Breast reconstruction following mastectomy recreates the breast(s) using several techniques, including implants or the use of tissue from your body (such as the belly). You may need multiple surgeries over several months. Breast reduction removes excess breast fat, glandular tissue and skin to achieve a breast size more in proportion with your body and to alleviate discomfort associated with excessively large breasts.
Conditions include melanoma, advanced lesions, complex facial lesions and cases requiring sentinel node biopsy.
Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, can correct functional problems with your eyelids and improve your appearance as well.
After bariatric surgery and/or significant weight loss, some people may experience excess loose skin. Once at a stable, healthy weight for a steady six months, some may benefit from skin surgery.
Reconstructing the skin and muscle at the site of a severe wound helps reduce scarring and aids in healing.
