When someone is diagnosed with cancer, they and their family members shouldn’t have to worry about where to find the caring, supportive resources they need. The Foundation of Yuma Regional Medical Center supports a variety of cancer-focused programs.

The Cancer Resource Center at Yuma Regional Medical Center offers free resources and programs to anyone in the Yuma community who is undergoing cancer treatment.

McDaniel Endowment Fund for Healthcare Scholarships

The McDaniel Endowment Fund was established by Richard Michael McDaniel in memory of his parents, Ted and Stella McDaniel and in honor of the cancer care he received at Yuma Regional Medical Center. It provides financial support to students pursuing a master’s degree or doctorate in nursing, a residency in oncology or a similar program supporting cancer patient care. Awardees must be willing to commit to serving in Yuma County for at least one year after graduation.

Pediatric Oncology Support Fund

The Pediatric Oncology Support Fund at the Foundation of Yuma Regional Medical Center provides financial assistance to deserving families of children in Yuma County battling cancer. The Foundation provides grants, up to $2,500.00 annually, to minimize the financial hardship that is directly attributable to the child’s illness.
