Navaneeth Kumar, MD was born and raised in India where he completed medical school at Stanley Medical College. He worked as a junior doctor in the ICU and cardiothoracic surgery departments at Billroth Hospital in Chennai before he pursued residency training in the United States. Dr. Kumar underwent two years of general surgery residency at the University of Arizona before deciding to switch to family medicine. He completed the Family and Community Medicine Residency here at Yuma Regional Medical Center.
After completing his residency, Dr. Kumar joined the YRMC Family Medicine Residency Program as a faculty member and practiced as a hospitalist. He now practices family medicine at Yuma Regional Medical Center Family Medicine Center. In his free time he enjoys sports, movies and books.
