At our outpatient care clinics, we offer a warm, welcoming environment where patients can safely receive professional clinical and behavioral health care, compassion and attention close to home, family and friends.

Inpatient Behavioral Health

For those needing a more intensive level of care, inpatient care at the Yuma Regional Medical Center Behavioral Health Center may be your most immediate treatment option, where we focus on stabilization and treatment of acute psychiatric and/or substance abuse problems.

Choosing the Right Level of Help

Yuma Regional Medical Center offers safe spaces where you can go to seek professional behavioral health care. Our clinics and inpatient hospital can help you if the symptoms listed below do not improve or seem to be worsening despite self-care efforts and you want to talk to your health care provider.

Outpatient Care

Average wait time 30+ days

  • Medication management

Intensive Outpatient Care

Average wait time 2+ weeks

  • Increase in severity of anxiety, depression and mood disorder
  • Challenges and difficulty maintaining relationships and performing work and school activities
  • Chronic stress or trauma
  • Prolonged or ongoing, unresolved family conflict

Inpatient Care

  • Suicidal and/or homicidal ideation/gestures
  • Assaultive behaviors/threats

What to Expect at the Inpatient Unit

At the Behavioral Health Center, we have psychiatric professionals who are trained to assess and determine the appropriate treatment plan for you. Your length of stay is dependent on your diagnosis and response to treatment. During your stay, you can expect:

  • Daily structured, interactive groups and activities
  • Onsite chef
  • A multidisciplinary team (psychiatrist, registered nurses, behavioral health technicians, social workers)
  • Onsite visitation from friends and family
