Community Health Needs Assessment

Yuma Regional Medical Center completed a community health needs assessment (CHNA) in 2019. The goal of the assessment is to identify and evaluate health related needs in the communities we serve and to use this information to fulfill our mission. All reports have been formally approved and adopted as required by IRS regulations.

The most recent Community Health Needs Assessment found that our community’s leading health concerns included: mental health, substance abuse, diabetes, heart disease / stroke, and access to healthcare.  Community input also indicated our greatest impact would come from addressing: access to healthcare, mental health, diabetes, heart disease and stroke, nutrition, physical activity and weight. Yuma Regional Medical Center remains focused on finding solutions to meet the community’s identified health care needs.
