When you or a member of your family experience a medical emergency, every minute counts. Yuma Regional Medical Center is committed to providing you with the highest quality emergency care possible. Our newly expanded, state-of-the-art 72-bed emergency department is staffed by physicians 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It features a spacious lobby that has been designed with patient comfort in mind and includes a colorful, inviting play area for children.

In addition to delivering around-the-clock emergency care that includes coordinated care from our case management team, respiratory therapy, radiology and a pharmacy, the Yuma Regional Medical Center Emergency Department offers:

• An electronic patient tracking system that helps speed the registration process and provides our staff with vital patient medical information.
• A dedicated diagnostic imaging suite that contains an ultrasound machine, two x-ray rooms and a CT scanner.
• Immediate access to the Cardiac Catheterization Lab for patients with suspected heart attacks.
• Comprehensive stroke care that enables our physicians to use telemedicine technology to conduct real-time consultations with a Mayo Clinic neurologist when necessary.
• Immediate examination of traumatic bone or joint injuries by a specialist at the Center for Bone & Joint Health at Yuma Regional Medical Center.
• Two helipads to facilitate the transport of incoming patients.
• A specialized decontamination room for treating patients who have come into contact with harmful chemicals.
• Trauma bays equipped with telemedicine cameras and microphones that allow our doctors to communicate with major medical facilities in Phoenix prior to transferring a trauma patient.
• A specialized area next to the lobby dedicated to efficiently treating and releasing patients with less serious injuries and illnesses.
• Spiritual Care from our professional trained, inter-faith chaplains 24 hours a day to care for the emotional and spiritual needs of our patients, their families and visitors.

The Yuma Regional Medical Center Emergency Department is located on the hospital’s main campus at 2400 S. Avenue A, Yuma, AZ 85364. The entrance to the Emergency Department is located off of Avenue A.
