When you need to have lab work completed, Yuma Regional Medical Center offers you a choice of two conveniently-located laboratories you can visit at a time that works for you. Our full-service clinical laboratories provide on-site testing, using state-of-the-art equipment so that you and your physicians can get your test results as quickly and efficiently as possible. Our board-certified pathologists, technologists and support staff are highly trained and dedicated to meeting the testing needs of our patients and their physicians.
Our lab is licensed by the state of Arizona and certified by the College of American Pathologists, as well as the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA). The majority of routine laboratory tests are run here in our labs, allowing our patient to benefit from shorter turnaround times. We also have an agreement with Mayo Medical Laboratories to process lab tests that are more complex or specialized in nature. For these tests, laboratory specimens are transported by air to Mayo Medical Laboratories' facility in Rochester, Minnesota for analysis, with results typically being available the next day.
Please note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we no longer accept walk-ins. Please call 928-336-7400 to schedule an appointment. This change will reduce the number of people in the lab waiting room and help patients observe safe social distance.
Our labs offer two general categories of tests:
If you have been referred by your physician to have bloodwork completed, you may have your lab tests performed at either one of our two Yuma Regional Medical Center Outpatient Laboratory locations.
Among the many available laboratory services, your doctor can take advantage of:
- Blood bank
- Chemistry analysis
You may also choose to have routine tests completed without a physician’s order. These tests will be performed on a fee-for-service basis and payment (cash, check, or credit card) will be required at the time of service. No insurance will be filed, and the test results will be mailed directly to you.
