Making the life-changing decision to have weight loss surgery is an important one.

In order to help you become as fully informed as possible, we offer the following resources:

Patient Support Groups

We understand how powerful and inspirational it can be to talk to people who have taken steps to overcome their own weight management challenges, so we invite you to attend one of our support group meetings. You’ll be able to meet patients who have undergone weight loss surgery and learn about their experiences. Our support group meets at 5:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every month. Reservations are not required. In order to make this meeting as productive as possible for you, please complete the course called the Yuma Regional Medical Center Bariatric Program before attending the support group. Call us at 928-336-LITE (5483) to get started.

Private Facebook Group for Bariatric Patients

When you begin your weight loss journey in the bariatric program at Yuma Regional Medical Center, you’ll also have an opportunity to join a private Facebook group that is managed by the bariatric team. This Facebook group serves as a private forum where patients can ask questions, offer support and encouragement to each other and receive updates about the bariatric program.
