While the pandemic impacts daily life for everyone, healthcare workers are especially feeling the strain as they work overtime, pivot to day-to-day care for others and fight to find their own work/life balance. This Valentine’s Day the Hugs for Healthcare Workers initiative provides a way for children and community members to send messages to YRMC’s healthcare team. These heartfelt messages of hope and kindness will lift the spirits of our healthcare team, when they need it most. Every note and word of encouragement is fuel to keep going.
YRMC is especially grateful to the teachers and students of Centennial Middle School, Desert View Academy, Hand in Hand Christian Preschool, Milestones Preschool, Salida Del Sol Elementary and Yuma Preschool for their handmade “hugs.”
