Our highly experienced surgeons and surgical nursing teams perform more than 12,000 procedures every year. Our surgical care starts with patient education to ensure that you arrive for your surgery well-prepared for what to expect during and after the procedure. We encourage you and your family members to ask questions at any time — you will be introduced to every member of the staff who will be involved in your surgical procedure. Our staff will give your family members regular updates on your progress while you are in surgery and in the recovery room. Our modern surgical facilities include ten operating suites, a state-of-the-art hybrid operating room, and four operating suites in Women’s Surgical Services. These areas have their own Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), often called a recovery room, where patients are cared for immediately after surgery before going home or going to a hospital unit. The Yuma Regional Medical Center Outpatient Surgery department is designed to provide the best possible surgical experience for patients undergoing procedures that do not require an overnight hospital stay. This Outpatient Surgery department is located on the Main Hospital Campus in the Parkview Medical Plaza just west of Parkview Loop, making it easy for patients to park and access. Our Outpatient Surgery department has four operating suites and a procedure room. Patients arrive at the center on the day their procedure is scheduled, have their surgery in a fully-equipped operating room, recover under the care of highly-skilled physicians and nurses in the PACU and then return home the same day. The Yuma Regional Medical Center Outpatient Surgery department is located at 2460 S. Parkview Loop, through Entrance 1. Parking is located in Lot 1 on the north side of the building.
